We are focusing on weddings and special events –

Our vision is create a destination that celebrates our regions culture, farming and the food we produce.

Set on our 11 acre Avocado and Tropical Fruit Orchard, the Rusty Gate Grove Bar and Winery is the ultimate venue located in Wide Bay’s Hinterland overlooking the rich red hills of Childers with stunning rural and mountain views. As third generation farmers, horticulture flows through our veins with the venue paying tribute to farmers and the food we produce as we utilise as much of our own farm grown and local produce as possible to create rustic, honest contemporary food that encourages a sharing experience.

Spoilt with 11 acres of tranquillity depending on your type of function, we can cater for multiple functions while retaining your special event to be just that……your day….your way!

With six different seating areas to cater for all occasions, our “Ceremony Garden” a large well-manicured green with rustic timber arbor and Hinterland views and lush green plants and trees, able to cater for seating large numbers of people with a gathering area for photos and post ceremony drinks. “The Barrell Room” an indoor, temperature controlled dining room able to cater for the larger weddings. “The Olive Garden” for pre-dinner or pre-wedding drinks & canapes”. “The Outlook” overlooking our vineyard with a relaxed vibe. “The Alfresco Farm Shed” is our main dining room filled with ambient barb wire/festoon style lighting. “The Picnic Garden” Picnic amongst our prosperous fruit trees and enjoy food and wine with friends in a relaxed garden atmosphere.

Special Promotion for This Weekend!

We do grow our own wine grapes which we supply to and are working with growers in different regions to use grapes from our farm to make our own wines. We have wine tasting available showcasing wines from various locations throughout Australia also. Wine tasting groups available Friday’s Saturday’s & Sundays 11:30-3pm or by appointment.

We are open Friday through to Sunday often showcasing local musicians and talent throughout our region.

This year there will be four luxurious cabins added to our Venue, fitted out with timber hot tubs and pet friendly yards.
